God’s plan. God’s timing. Thankful for Alex’s return to the Florida Keys so her brother Drew could introduce her to the new Chef Dave at his workplace. Both knew they had met their match very early on- Dave says he knew he was going to marry Alex the first week they met- and Alex knew this was more than just love at first sight.

After running into each other a few times, sparks were flying! Dave asked Alex out on a Keys Saturday night. Typical Alex, she was heading to The Vineyard’s Saturday night church service with friends and invited Dave to join. Dave insisted he drive and pick everyone up. Alex knew then his heart was in the right place.

Alex & Dave continued to meet in the mornings for coffee in Alex’s tiny house and their love grew. One month later, they were picking out furniture and looking at flights to Dave’s family reunion in Idaho. Time to get the real seal of approval! After an amazing holiday weekend with family, both Alex and Dave knew they had many more family vacations to look forward to!

The summer flew and by Labor Day Weekend, Dave planned a private engagement complete with a walkway of rose petals and light-up sign in Alex’s living room saying “Marry Me”. It was certainly the easiest yes there ever was! It was almost as easy as finding their favorite song for each other- Thank God by Kane Brown- as they knew God was saving the best version of each other for last.
